The ABC Awards are aimed at everyone who helps shape the world of mobility; they put excellent design quality in an international spotlight: planners and developers of innovative micromobility and Mobility 4.0, world-renowned stakeholders in the automotive, transport and supplier industries, as well as leading design and brand agencies, all compete for the awards. The ABC Awards encompasses the entire world of mobility from e-scooters to air taxis and from quads to low-loaders.

Hans Meier-Kortwig

Owner of GMK Markenberatung, Cologne

Hans Meier-Kortwig has been a brand consultant for over a quarter of a century, out of personal conviction and with genuine passion. He studied business management and design management at the University of Cologne and London Business School. During his career, he has worked at companies including Peter Schmidt Group and Marketing Partner, where he spent six years in charge of the Brand Management Consulting division. Hans Meier-Kortwig has been Managing Director at GMK Markenberatung, a firm founded by him, since 2006, assisting clients such as Bosch, Deutsche Vermögensberatung, Aldi, Gaggenau and Siemens as well as the media brands WDR, BR and RTL Group in all brand-related disciplines – from brand strategy and implementation to brand management and control. Hans Meier-Kortwig has equally broad experience in the automotive industry. Among others, he worked for Mercedes Benz, the Volkswagen Group with VW, Audi, Skoda and Seat, the BMW Group with all group and service brands, Kia, Suzuki and suppliers such as Continental or Faurecia.

Prof. Andrea Lipp-Allrutz

Program director Transportation Interior Design, Reutlingen University

Andrea Lipp-Allrutz studied Product Design at the Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle. After graduating in 1991, she worked initially at Bombardier Transportation in Berlin and then at IFS Designatelier, also in Berlin. From 2001 to 2006, Lipp-Allrutz was head of design interior at Neoplan Bus. Since then she has worked as a freelance designer for MAN Truck & Bus. Since 2006 Andrea Lipp-Allrutz has been Professor of Transportation Interior Design at Reutlingen University; in 2010 she was appointed Head of Department.

Christian Zanzotti

Founder ZANZOTTI INDUSTRIAL DESIGN, Munich

Italian-born Christian Zanzotti, studied industrial design at the University of Design in Munich, following which he worked for Hannes Wettstein and then for IDEO. In 2013 he established the ZANZOTTI INDUSTRIAL DESIGN studio in Munich. The fields in which he is involved range from the automotive and mobility sector to furniture, consumer goods and lifestyle products. Christian’s work is notable for his passion for technology, innovation and materials, as well as his careful analyses and willingness to experiment. In 2014 he received the German Design Award "Newcomer of the Year" from the German Design Council.

Jana Claaßens-Pascault

Head of Marketing for the DACH region & CEE at TIER Mobility

Jana Claaßens-Pascault drives the mission "Change mobility for good". Jana is a creative and innovative chief marketing officer with great passion for consumer behavior and a strong entrepreneurial mindset. Before joining TIER, Jana worked for several worldwide leading fashion and lifestyle companies in London, Paris and Madrid, where she managed the local marketing teams for DIOR, Givenchy, Coty Beauty and others. Following her entrepreneurial drive, she founded WonderWed in 2015, Germany's largest online wedding marketplace, which was acquired by Weddyplace earlier this year.

How to register?

  1. Click on the registration button to access our online database My Design Council. There you register as a new participant and create your profile. Or you can log in with your existing access data.
     
  2. Complete your profile and enter the following details about your innovation: project name, short description (German and English, max. 500 characters incl. spaces), one image (JPG, max. 10 MB), as well as details about customer/manufacturer/developer and category selection.
     
  3. As soon as you have completed all the details, you can complete your registration as a binding participant. Please note that participation in the competition and a possible award will entail fees and costs. More information about fees and services can be found in our Factsheet.
     
  4. After successful registration, please provide us with a presentation of your project, which will be viewed and evaluated by the jury.
     
  5. You will be informed of the results of the jury by e-mail. All award winners will be invited to the awards ceremony of the ABC Awards in Autumn 2022.
